Roger Federer takes record eighth Wimbledon title!

What a happy morning! My favorite player of all time, Roger Federer, is the 2017 Wimbledon champion. At 35, Fed won the tournament for a record eighth time – no man has ever won more. He beat Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 to win the tournament in straight sets – amazing! He now has 19 grand slam titles overall – four more than Rafael Nadal who is in second place. Fed is now the reigning Wimbledon and Australian champion and has got to be the favorite heading into the US Open where he will be vying for a sixth title. Fed is, without a doubt, the Greatest Of All Time. And he vows to return to Wimbledon next year to defend his title.
After losing the finals in 2014 and 2015 and in the semis last year, today’s victory is all the more sweet.
