Roger Federer loses to Novak Djokovic at his home tournament in Switzerland
Roger Federer returned from a two-month break but his homecoming was spoiled Sunday by Novak Djokovic.
Roger, the greatest male player in the history of tennis, lost 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to the appealing Serbian star. But it’s tough to feel too badly for Federer who regained the number one ranking this year, won his first French Open and sixth Wimbledon AND became the father of twin daughters.
He’s got a lot of blessings.
The real question is this: Why the heck are the men STILL playing tournaments this late into the year? They still have the Paris Open which began today and the year-end championships to contest. It’s a ridiculous schedule with the Australian Open in mid-January.
Somebody needs to same pro tennis from itself!
