Rafael Nadal’s bittersweet birthday

You gotta figure Rafael Nadal is not in the best mood today even though it is his 23rd birthday.

The world’s number one tennis player has celebrated his birthday in Paris while successfully competing for the French Open title for four years prior. He began competing in Paris just shy of his 19th birthday and had never lost there until Saturday.

So now, instead of working for a fifth straight French title and taking a little time out for cake, he has time for an entire party. But he probably doesn’t feel like celebrating. On the bright side, Nadal has extra time to prepare for the grasscourt season which already begins next week.
