Project Pushback videos narrowed to top 11
It’s so great when people channel their energy and their talents into a good cause like creating short videos promoting support for same-sex couples to have the freedom to marry. The opportunity is being provided by the Project Pushback, a video contest which has just been narrowed down to 11 finalists with the winner being announced on Wednesday.

The competition was organized by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of New York City.
More than 8,300 votes were cast to narrow the field down from 68 videos and the grand prize winner (who receives $2,500) is being selected from a panel of judges who include Academy Award-winning Producer Bruce Cohen, MTV producer Sherri Brown Francois, political and communications strategist Chad Griffin, Google vice president Megan Smith and Current TV producer Tracey Chang.
The winner of the popular vote will receive $1,000.
Due to a voting tie, the top 11 videos (list below) will be considered by the judging panel. You can now see the top 11 videos at www.equalityvideo.org.
