President Obama tells CNN’s Anderson Cooper he’d like to see DADT ended “sooner rather than later”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper, looking especially handsome in this particular interview BTW, sat down with President Barack Obama for an interview that aired on CNN over the weekend. Anderson got a much better answer from Obama in regards to Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell than I have heard before.

We do want the president to abolish this law like yesterday because it is so astonishingly wrong. But he scores himzelf some points by explaining why he has not just set it immediately aside: “…The bottom line is, I want to see this changed, and we’ve already contacted congressional allies. I want to make sure that it’s changed in a way that ultimately works well for our military and for the outstanding gay and lesbian soldiers that are both currently enlisted or would like to enlist…I’d like to see it done sooner rather than later.”
