People’s Choice Awards nominations gayest ever with Ellen, NPH, Klaine, Sean Hayes, Jim Parsons and more

=It feels like I’m doing the Coming Out Day Gallery all of a sudden!

But, I’m not. I’m writing about the People’s Choice Award nominations which were announced this morning and many of the nominees are out stars.

Love it!

The Glee couple of Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson, played by Chris Colfer and Darren Criss, nabbed multiple nods.

They are clearly fan favorites with both Colfer and Criss being nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actor as well as a nod for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry.

Criss, who is straight, competes with four openly gay actors for Comedic TV Actor: Colfer, Neil Patrick Harris, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jim Parsons. (That is really a remarkable category!)

Glee was also nominated for Favorite TV Comedy and out star Jane Lynch got a nod for Favorite Comedic TV Actress. Criss was also nominated for Favorite TV Bromance with beautiful Chord Overstreet (Sam) and sexy Naya Rivera, who plays lesbian Santana, got a nod for Favorite TV Gal Pals with Lea Michele’s character of Rachel.

In the talk show categories, Ellen DeGeneres was once again nominated for Favorite Daytime TV host while Ross Mathews got a nod for Favorite New Talk Show Host.

The movie categories , of course, were largely devoid of gay and lesbian names with the usual suspects like Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt dominating.

The exception is Zachary Quinto who was nominated for Favorite Movie Duo along with Chris Pine for Star Trek: Into Darkness.

Other gay and lesbian-related nominations include: Behind the Candelabra for Favorite TV Movie; Lee Daniels’ The Butler for Favorite Dramatic Movie (Daniels, the director, is gay); and Sean Saves the World starring Sean Hayes for Favorite New TV Comedy.

Here is a LINK to the full list of nominees.

The awards will be presented on 8 January 2014.
