Paula Abdul leaving “America Idol”

http://www.givememyremote.com/remote/wp-content/uploads/2006/04/PaulaAbdul_Crying.jpgAm I a bad person for being glad that Paula Abdul is leaving American Idol?

She seems like a nice enough person but I never understood how her incoherent babbling helped anyone and I cringed pretty much any time it was her turn to speak.

Here is what she wrote on Twitter about her departure:

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all…I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month. I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

Jim Verraros thinks not having Paula back for the ninth season of Idol is a huge mistake. Paula, I love you and thank you for making me feel worthy. The show will be nothing without you…

I think not having Paula on the show is a big mistake too. She was the emotional tug – with a real connection to the performers. Don’t think I will watch the show without her. -G

  2. I agree with Greg on this one. Paula really contributed nothing to American Idol. Even when she performed it was lip synced.

Now here’s the opportunity for her to release a full length album and tour again. Ms. Abdul can dance and that’s what her fans love to she her do. I’ve purchased her last two singles including Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow.
