Casting call out for Teddy’s love interest on “90210 “who MUST be comfortable making out with another dude”
Talk about dream jobs: not only do you land a role on The CW’s 90120 but you get to make out with Trevor Donovan!
Sounds like a sweet gig to me.
Michael Ausiello is reporting that Teddy (Donovan), a high school student who is coming to terms with being gay, will be getting some action on 90210.
Writes Michael on Facebook: Casting is underway for the role of Marco, a “hot, super-athletic, openly gay love interest” for Trevor Donovan’s same-sex-lovin’ alter ego. Interested actors MUST be comfortable making out with another dude.
Not sure what this means for Teddy and Ian (Kyle Riabko), the fellow student with whom he hooked up with once so far and is fighting his attraction for.

Why does he (Marco really?) have to be super-athletic? Why can’t he be just a regular guy who likes sports and happens to be gay? Why does the Trevor character have to be so shallow? I t seems to me that there’s a real opportunity here to add some depth to Trevor’s character with a choice in partners that’s not wholly superficial. Granted , he’s supposed to be a teenager(even though in reality he’s actually 25) ,and we all know that teenagers generally go for the hot factor-but it would be refreshing if he chooses somebody a little offbeat and different. Just sayin’.
