Oscar winning actor Jeremy Irons worries that gay marriage might lead to fathers marrying sons
I wonder if it is that glorious accent that made me think all these years that Jeremy Irons is an amazingly intelligent man.
Not so much it seems.
Of all the anti-gay marriage comments in recent weeks comparing it to bestiality (Rep. Louis Gohmert), murder (Michael Reagan) and the end times (Michelle Shocked), the comments today from Mr. Irons are perhaps the most surprising.
‘Could a father not marry his son?’ Irons asked during an interview with HuffPost Live.
When host Josh Zepps reminded the actor about incest laws, Irons said that ‘it’s not incest between men’ because ‘incest is there to protect us from inbreeding, but men don’t breed.’

I never realized how ignorant Jeremy Irons really is. I suppose a british accent can fool you into thinking a person is smart afterall. Anyhow, I’ll never look at Brideshead Revisited in the same way ever again.

This is the same man who remained in the closet through most of his career. He also told actors to “stay in the closet” about 2 years ago. His magnanimous self hatred and internalized homophobia , hurts the very community that he belongs to.
This will absolutely make him remembered for nothing more than his ignorant rants on the very people he shares something with. His homosexuality.
