On “Then We Got HELP” this week, a strip poker game leads to Eric admitting he doesn’t want a baby w/Dan

After a one-week hiatus week, the terrific web series Then We Got HELP, created and directed by Julie Ann Emery, is back with a new episode.

And boy, it is a doozy.  Titled “The Art of the Strip,” the episode features a game of Strip Poker that leads to revelations, bickering, and a break up!

For the strip poker episode, our gay and bisexual characters are well represented. Bisexual Vance (Eric Anderson) is at the meeting with his boyfriend (Shane Jacobson) AND his girlfriend (Daryn Strauss). He lives with both.

Dan (Nicholas Rodriguez) snaps at Vance’s boyfriend at one point: “Don’t act like you’re one of us [gays]. You turned in your rainbow card when you moved in with him. You’re sharing your man with a woman! What kind of self-respecting homosexual are you?”

But Dan has some problems of his own it turns out. As the strip poker game gets more intense, it comes out that his partner Eric (Blake Hammond) doesn’t really want to become a parent. They are deep into the adoption process and by the end of the meeting, as Dan gets a call from the adoption agency, he says to Eric: “When you’re all in, call me.”

It’s a very serious turn for our gay couple but there are some laughs earlier like when Eric says: “The mere thought of a vagina makes me hyperventilate and pass out!” To which Dan adds: “Thank God.”
