Novak Djokovic wins 60th career title

It’s a new year but the results are the same as last year: Novak Djokovic is again the winner.

The world’s top-ranked tennis player defeated old rival Rafael Nadal today in the final if the Qatar Open and defeated him badly.

The score was 6-1, 6-2.

The win was Njokovic’s 60th career title and gave him the lead for the first time in his rivalry with Nadal. He has now won 24 of their 47 matches.

“I played pretty much perfect tennis today from the very beginning I managed to get every shot the way I wanted,” said Djokovic afterward. ‘”It did feel as close to perfection as it can get.’
