No Doubt and Sia to perform at An Evening With Women benefiting the LA LGBT Center

Wow, one of the hottest nights on the LGBT calendar just got even hotter.

The annual An Evening with Women celebration will be headlined by No Doubt, Sia and Sarah Silverman. It will take place on May 16 at the Hollywood Palladium and is one of the major benefits of the year for the Los Angeles LGBT Center..

I’ve been attending this event for many years now and have such amazing memories of watching such performers as Cyndi Lauper, Pink, Christina Aguilara, Heart, Wanda Sykes, Sia Aimee Mann, Kathy Griffin and Courtney Love.

It is always an amazing time.

No Doubt and Sia will both be performing acoustic sets.

“We are so honored to be joining the lineup for this year’s An Evening with Women,” the members of No Doubt jointly stated. “We applaud the tremendous work Los Angeles LGBT Center has done over the years in striving to create a community where all people are equal and treated with fairness and dignity.  This is going to be a really cool show for us….different than the big plugged-in shows we’ve done over the years, it’ll be exciting to switch it up and play a select handful of songs and bring a scaled down, acoustic vibe to them.”

Sia said in a statement: “I am so happy and proud to be a part of An Evening with Women again this year, and to honor the excellent work they do for the LGBTQ community of Los Angeles.”

The event, co-chaired this year by Linda Perry, Brent Bolthouse, Kelly Lynch and Annie Goto, has raised over $4.65 million dollars since 2002 for the vital services the Los Angeles LGBT Center provides to underserved seniors, women and girls, including the homeless youth currently surviving on the streets of Los Angeles.
