No decision on Prop 8/DOMA today but Supreme Court will issue its rulings sometime this week
Well, we’re all in this together and I know you all are anxiously awaiting the Supreme Court decision on the challenges to Proposition 8 and DOMA.
My wait mode has become calm after feeling excited and anxious last week. It could have happened today, it might happen tomorrow – or later this week.
Whenever it does happen, it will be historic and chances are excellent that it will at least mean marriages can resume in California.

I suspect that the Court will rule that it is the State who must defend and not an independent party, therefore, the case will be handed back down with no decision based on the fact that the moving party had no standing in the case.

Section 3 of DOMA should be deemed unconstitutional. On Prop 8, who knows how they’ll rule.
