No “Celebrity Apprentice” for Martina Navratilova

There were various reports online that Martina Navratilova was going to be a part of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice – and Johnny Weir too.

I thought it would be interesting to have two famous gays on a show built around the famously three-times married Donald Trump who still goes around saying he’s against gay marriage.

I figured Martina would try and educate the man in the same way George Takei did a few seasons back.

So I sent the nine-time Wimbledon singles champ a tweet asking if she planned to help The Donald evolve on LGBT issues.

Martina tweet me back saying the story, picked up by multiple websites, is not true!

‘No, I am not doing The Apprentice,’ Martina tweeted. ‘False report.’

Okay, so what about Weir? I tweeted him too but have yet to hear back. His most recent tweet had nothing to do with Celebrity Apprentice though.

It read: ‘I need to get on the ice so badly! Gaining weight and eating cake every minute and need a major workout!’
