Nick Jonas on his gay “Kingdom” character: “I’m just excited [to] be able to tell the story in the way we’re telling it’
Busy Nick Jonas is back before TV cameras.
The singer-actor with the huge gay following has been filming scenes in recent weeks for the second season of the martial arts drama Kingdom.
Fans found out last season that his character of Nate Kulina is gay and Jonas promises there are more revelations to come.
‘I do know where it’s going but I can’t say because it’s going to be a big reveal and surprise,’ Jonas tells Digital Spy.
‘It’s great writing, really honest and personal, and I’m just excited for people to see it and be able to tell the story in the way we’re telling it.’
Direct TV renewed Kingdom for a 20-episode second season. The channel will air 10 episodes beginning this fall then an additional 10 in 2016.
Jonas will be doing some double duty as he also has a recurring role in the new Fox series Scream Queens.
His role in that series is far different that Nate. Jonas plays a guy named Boone who is a member of a preppy golf fraternity called Dollar Scholars.
