Neil Patrick Harris to reunite with cast of Broadway’s “Assassins” for one night only benefit

Between Doogie Howser MD and How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris had quite a successful career on Broadway.

One of this shows was the Stephen Sondheim musical Assassins which explores the lives and motivations of the people who have killed or tried to kill U.S. presidents, including John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald and John Hinckley Jr.

Harris, who played Oswald in the original production, will reunite with original cast members Becky Ann Baker, James Barbour, Mario Cantone, Mary Catherine Garrison, Alexander Gemignani, Marc Kudisch, Jeffrey Kuhn and Denis O’Hare for a one-night-only benefit for the Roundabout Theater Company.

The benefit for Roundabout’s Musical Theatre Program will take place on Dec. 3 at New York’s Studio 54. Tickets go on sale next week.
