Neil Patrick Harris talks HIMYM, Tonys & outing
I love this HuffPost Live interview with Neil Patrick Harris because it reminds me of one I heard him do with Terry Gross on NPR before his wave of How I Met Your Mother fame and all that has happened since.
He was doing a lot of Broadway then and it was that interview where I discovered just how smart and articulate he is. I met him at a private party around that time and raved about his Terry Gross interview and told him how I stayed in the car in my driveway unable to break away from it.
Anyway, he went on the HIMYM, Tony hosting, Emmy hosting, coming out, becoming a father and all the rest and is a real charmer on shows like Letterman etc.
But he’s got to really be on when he’s on those shows. This is like the NPR interview: serious and smart.

I never get tired of seeing an intelligent, beloved and good looking actor with a successful career and a hit TV series who has never made any apologies of being Out and married with kids what so ever. I wish I could be as enthusiastic about another NBC series veteran actor.
