Neil Patrick Harris will direct “Rent” at Hollywood Bowl this summer!

Neil Patrick Harris will direct the premiere of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl on Aug. 6-8, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Between his two best-known TV gigs Doogie Houser MD and How I Met Your Mother, Neil had a thriving stage career that including starring in the L.A. production of Rent in 1997  for which he won a Drama League Award.

There is also word that a deal has been finalised for Neil to appear on Glee this spring. E!Online reports that his character will be more Dr. Horrible than Barney Stinson.

I’m sure both Glee and Rent will be brilliant as is just about everything Neil does.
