Neil Patrick Harris lands next TV gig as Count Olaf in Netflix series “A Series of Unfortunate Events”
You had to know it wouldn’t take very long for Neil Patrick Harris to land his next job now that NBC did not renew Best Time Ever for a second season.
TV’s Doogie Howser and Barney Stinson and Broadway’s Hedwig will next star in Netflix’s adaptation of the best-selling children’s book A Series of Unfortunate Events.
He will play the role of Count Olaf who has designs on the family fortune of a pair of orphans.
NPH tweeted earlier today: ‘I’m excitedish to portray Count Olaf – its spending all day with those three horrible child actors that will be a challenge. #sneer #shudder’
He will be playing the role Jim Carrey had in the 2004 film version.
