Neil Patrick Harris is the host with the most

Neil Patrick Harris, the very best part of How I Met Your Mother, is being asked to host more and more high-profile entertainment events these days like the TV Land Awards which aired last night. He is everything you’d want in a host – funny, smart, quick, good looking. I nominate him to host everything!

But seriously, I do want to ask the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences or whatever network is going to air the Emmys this fall, to just sign Neil up right now to host the Emmy Awards. Not just the technical arts Emmys that take place a week earlier (Kathy Griffin calls them the Schmemmys!) and not just to announce the nominees as he so charmingly did last summer.

We’re talking the whole Emmy show – prime time! Front-and-center! You will not find anybody better. So I’ll just make this little Greg In Hollywood threat right here and now (are you shaking in your boots?): if you ask Ryan Seacrest to host again, I will not watch! I will just put in a DVD of Green Acres or something. Don’t make me do it!
