Neil Patrick Harris is in negotiations to host this year’s Emmy Awards!

I love, love, love this!
Less than a month after his triumph at the Tony Awards, Variety reports that Neil Patrick Harris is cutting a deal to be the host of this year’s Emmy telecast.
I guess Ryan Seacrest wasn’t available to make it three years in a row – thank God!
The deal is not yet completed but let’s hope nothing stands in the way of NPH hosting the Sept. 21 kudofest. I think it will help ratings and will definitely make the show must-see TV agzin. It doesn’t hurt that the show is airing on CBS this year – the same network that Harris’ sitcom How I Met Your Mother airs.
Last year, NPH hosted the technical Emmys – nicknamed the “Schmemmys” by Kathy Griffin – where behind-the-scenes awards are handed out in a non-televised ceremony in addition to the guest acting and reality show awards.
