NBC showing faith in Sean Hayes sitcom “Sean Saves the World” – orders five more episodes
Great news for fans for the comedy Sean Saves the World starring Sean Hayes: NBC has increased its order of the series to 18 episodes.
While still short of a full season, it means the network is giving the show a chance to catch on with viewers.
It deserves to catch on.
I just watched this week’s episode and can see the cast and the show really coming together beautifully. They have toned Linda Lavin’s character down a tad and Megan Hilty and Sean’s BFF is really coming into her own and is a hoot.
And Sean himself is proving he can be a TV character other than Jack Macfarlane and be really funny.
TVLine reports that the vote of confidence comes on the heels of Sean‘s 27-percent ratings gain this week, following a special Voice results show.

I HATED this show (specifically the second episode, which didn’t have a single laugh in it). But I decided to watch the latest episode just to see if you had a point, Greg. And damned if this wasn’t hilarious. I’ll give it another shot.
