My chat with Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Jesse Tyler Ferguson really is the face of gay marriage in the US right now.

On Modern Family, his relationship with Cam (Eric Stonestreet) is front-and-center and in real life, the four-time Emmy nominee is a newlywed.

He and lawyer Justin Mitka were married in New York City last July.

I chatted with Jesse recently about the ups and downs of the gay marriage movement and here is some of what he had to say:

‘The thing with any civil rights movement is there are these bumps, these hiccups and when there’s so much charged energy behind it is really difficult to have those bumps. But that’s part of the burden of having a great civil rights movement.’
