My chat with Emmy winner Dan Bucatinsky

So exited for Dan Bucatinsky and his Emmy win last night for Scandal.

I’ve been a fan of Dan’s since his 2001 film All Over the Guy which he wrote and starred in (see our 2011 interview about the film here) and am thrilled to see all that he’s accomplished as a writer, producer and actor.

I spoke with Dan most recently in August at a Television Critics Association party and joked that maybe he didn’t know which show he was representing that night since he also is a consultant on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy in addition to producing Who Do You Think You Are?

“I’m here for Web Therapy!” he said, laughing, at the party for Showtime, CBS and The CW shows. “It’s our third season on TV and our fifth web season.”

We chatted about the show’s transition from the web to cable, about his Emmy nod, and about why he works so darn hard.
