My afternoon at Madame Tussauds Hollywood

Got an invite to check out the new Madame Tussauds Hollywood so I invited my pal Rachel Uranga to come along. We hadn’t seen each other in awhile and had lots to catch up on so we figure we’d breeze through the museum quickly then find someplace to have a nice, long brunch with plenty of Mimosas.

Little did we know we’d end up spending well over two hours there just completely getting into the spirit of the thing – costumes and all. We were positively giddy and had the most fabulous time rubbing elbows with the stars of yesteryear to those of the present day.

This was the $55 million attraction’s first official day and boy, what an ideal addition to Hollywood Blvd. right near Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. It’s perfect for tourists but also fun a locals – as you can see!

Uh oh, when Margo Channing looks at me that way, you know it’s gonna be a bumpy night! So fasten your seatbelts!

Yikes! Rachel knows she’s done for – she’s seen Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho enough times.

Peter O’Toole may be used to this head garb, but I’m afraid white just isn’t my color.

Rachel just loves attending red carpet events with her boyfriend Pierce Brosnan.

George Burns and Bob Hope crack me up every time.

Rachel only wears her blond wig for really special movie stars – like George Clooney.

Mr. DeMille, we are ready for our close-up!

Rachel and Johnny Depp are a sriking pair!

Oh Jim Carrey, you’re so crazy. I love hangin out with this dude!

In my opinion, the Jamie Foxx and Jim Carrey figures seemed the most lifelike. I’m told these figures cost an average of $300,000 each! Other famous figures inside include Oscar winners Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie (with Brad Pitt), Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Meryl Streep, Vivien Leigh, Audrey Hepburn, Jack Nicholson, Whoopi Goldberg, John Wayne, and Morgan Freeman.

Younger stars like Zac Efron, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, action heroes Bruce Willis, Daniel Craig, Hugh Jackman, and pro athletes including David Beckham, Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong.
