MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts treats Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein to a cake on his 61st birthday
Harvey Fierstein turns 61 today and he is still going strong.
He is up for a Tony Award for Kinky Boots this Sunday so we will find out if he will add to the four Tonys he already has at home.
Harvey guested on MSNBC this morning and Thomas Roberts presented him with a birthday cake and reminded the audience that it was 20 years ago that Harvey charmed us as Robin Williams’ brother in Mrs. Doubtfire and 30 years ago that he win his first two Tonys for Torch Song Trilogy.
Of Kinky Boots Harvey said: “The audience is really driving the show. The word of mouth is just unbelievable. People walk out of that theater flying. … You just walk out of that theater on a cloud.”

I think Harvey is only 59 years old…I believe his birthday is 6/6/54.
Mine is 6/3/53 and I just turned 60 and Harvey is a year younger than me.
