Morning Man Encore: Matthew Davis!

Matthew Davis was such a jerk to Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde that I just could not bring myself to feature him as a Morning Man until now.

Okay, it was only a movie and I’m sure Matthew is way more cool than his rich boy character of Warner Huntington III was in Blonde.

Plus, I gotta learn not to hold a grudge!

These days, Matthew plays Alaric Saltzman, the vampire hunter who has become an unlikely ally for the Salvatore brothers, in The CW’s new hit drama The Vampire Diaries.

Matthew has been working steadily in television for the past five years as a cast member on ABC’s What About Brian? for two seasons and on Damages last season.

Prior to that, he mostly appeared in films.

In addition to Legally Blonde, Matt appeared in Michael Bay’s blockbuster, Pearl Harbor, the surfing flick Blue Crush, the romantic comedy Seeing Other People, the comedy Finding Bliss, and the WWII drama Below. His first big break was in Joel Schumacher’s Vietnam drama Tigerland which also introduced movie audiences to Colin Farrell.
