Morning Man Encore: Matt Czuchry!

If you’re a fan of CBS’s The Good Wife – and if you’re not, you should be! – then you are familiar with actor Matt Czuchry who plays attorney Cary Agos on the show.

It seemed like the character was history at the end of last season because he was competing with Alica (played by series lead Julianna Margulies) for a spot at the law firm.

Cary lost.

But writers immediately had him be snatched up by the state’s attorney’s office in a move that has made the character a frequent adversary of his old firm – and a lot more interesting!

He has come to the aid of former colleague Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) but you do wonder why.

Matt, 33, says in the current issues of Entertainment Weekly: “It’s very unexpected what his motives are, whether they’re honest or manipulative. Walking that line has been fun.”

Prior to The Good Wife, now in its second season, Matt was best known for having portrayed Logan Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls and was part of the short-lived WB series Young Americans.

While Matt’s character on Wife is Harvard-educated, in real life the actor is a graduate of the College of Charleston where he graduated with a degree in political science and history. He was also captain of the tennis team and an NCAA ranked player in the Southern Conference.

Sounds like he’s aces!
