Morning Man Encore: Eric Bana!

What makes Eric Bana even sexier than he looks in all of these pictures is that he is hilarious. I did not know this about him until I watched a YouTube video (see below) of him as Tom Cruise and he just nailed the Top Gun star.

It was then that I learned about Eric having an entirely different kind of career in sketch comedy (Full Frontal, The Eric Bana Show) in his native Australia before becoming a big movie star in the US in such movies as Munich, Troy, Black Hawk Down, the Ang Lee-directed Hulk and, most recently, The Other Boleyn Girl.

His next film, Star Trek, opens on May 8.

(Since this is a flattering item, I just left off Lucky You, the flop he made with Drew Barrymore that was so bad the studio held it back an entire year.)

At 40, he’s got it all going for him and what assures him of many years of future success is this: talent. I’m anxious to see if Eric will let loose in a comedic way in a big screen role soon. May I suggest The Tom Cruise Story?
