Morning Man Encore: Curtis Stone!

Originally posted April 16, 2011 – today is Curtis Stone’s 39th birthday and he’s just debuted as host of the new Food Network series Kitchen Inferno.

Whatever this hot chef is cooking, I want a taste!

His name is Curtis Stone and if you watch NBC then you are seeing his handsome face in the previews for the upcoming series America’s Next Great Restaurant alongside Bobby Flay, Steve Ells and Lorena Garcia.

Curtis is 35 and an Aussie who began cooking with his grandmother at the age of five. He was classically trained in London under the legendary Marco Pierre White. His good looks and cooking skills have led to all kinds of opportunities on television in Australia, the UK and in America including the shows Surfing the Menu, Take Home Chef, and My Restaurant Rules.

He competed on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice 3 last year and placed fourth out of 14 contestants.

On his official website Curtis says: “Ever since I was young I’ve always been fascinated with food – whether it was making marmalade with my Nan and Grandad or fudge with my Granny. I’ve always realized it was food that brought my family and friends closer together. I often hear people say that they don’t have the time to cook. Well, actually, a good home cooked meal can take less time than waiting for a take-in pizza! And be a lot more fun. It’s one of life’s’ great pleasures.”
