Morning Man Classic: Val Kilmer in ‘Top Secret!’

Until last night, I had never before seen the comedy Top Secret! starring Val Kilmer. It was his very first movie and it is a gem. It screened yesterday at the TCM Classic Film Festival where I’ve spent much of the past three days and will be spending today. Co-directors and co-writers Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker were on hand to talk about the movie before the screening and what a hilarious trio they are. While I laughed a lot before and during the film, I was also a bit spellbound at the utter physical beauty of Kilmer who would co-star in Top Gun just two years later. What a debut!
