Morning Man Classic: Sam Melville!
Remember The Rookies?
I’m such a sucker for Michael Ontkean but I had forgotten how handsome and sexy Sam Melville was!
He portrayed Officer Mike Danko in four seasons on the ABC show and his wife, nurse Jill Danko, was played by future Charlie’s Angels star Kate Jackson! He and jackson later reunited on her later hit series Scarecrow and Mrs. King on which he had a recurring role as her ex-husband.
Sam, who was also best known for his role in the surfing film Big Wednesday, died far too young.
He was just 52 when he died in 1989 of heart failure.

Next up should be Bruce Fairburn who also played the Michael Ontkean role, and I think he did it first.
Thanks for the memories! Loved this show, Kate, Michael, Sam, and Bruce! I always had a huge crush on Michael, and Kate is one of my all-time favorites.
