Patrick Swayze, the sexy star of such memorable films as Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Point Break, Road House, and To Wong Foo, was born 73 years ago today. He also starred in the cult thriller Donnie Darko, the action film Red Dawn and the drama The Outsiders, among many other films.

The People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive in 1991, Patrick died far too young. He was just 57 when pancreatic cancer took his life. He had been married to Lisa Niemi for 34 years. They starred together in the 2003 film One Last Dance.
