Morning Man Classic: Kris Kristofferson!

The late singer-actor Kris Kristofferson, born 90 years ago today, was just SO handsome.
In the 1976 remake of A Star is Born opposite Barbra Streisand, he was incredibly sexy and wonderful in the role of John Norman Howard. S-woooon! The movie came at a time when he had branched out from being a successful singer-songwriter (Me and Bobby McGee, Help Me Make it Through the Night) to actor.
His other movies included Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Blume in Love, Heaven’s Gate, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Hanover Street, Semi-Tough, the Blade trilogy, Lonestar, Payback, and more recently Joyful Noise with Dolly Parton.
In 1985, Kristofferson joined fellow country artists Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash in forming the country music supergroup The Highwaymen and in 2004, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Kristofferson died on September 28, 2024 at the age of 88. He was the father of eight children including five with his widow, Lisa. His second wife was singer Rita Coolidge with whom he has a daughter.
