Morning Man Classic: Joseph Bottoms!
Sorry for the delay in posting the Morning Man Classic. Had to dash off this morning for a fun reunion with high school friends and have just returned.
But today’s man is well worth waiting for: he’s Joseph Bottoms.
He’s from an acting family (his brother is Timothy Bottoms) and won the 1975 Golden Globe Award for New Star Of The Year for his role in The Dove. He is also known for his roles in the television mini-series Holocaust and Disney’s The Black Hole.
Bottom made his Broadway debut in Fifth of July in 1981 and between 1985-1987, he was a series regular on the soap opera, Santa Barbara.
In 1990 he began a guest arc on the Canadian television series, Street Legal and in 1991, he began playing Cal Winters on Days of Our Lives. In 1998, he was a series regular in The Net.
His most recent screen appearance was in 1999 in the series, V.I.P.
Now 58, Bottoms has left acting behind and has been running the Bottoms Art Galleries in Santa Barbara that also includes his father’s sculptures.
