Morning Man Classic: Hart Bochner!
If you saw the 1981 film Rich and Famous starring Candice Bergen and Jacqueline Bisset, then you will never forget the hot young man Bisset’s character fell in love with.
He was played by Hart Bochner and he took our breath away.
Hart turns 66 today and he has aged like fine wine.
A decade ago, he starred opposite Debra Messing in the USA series The Starter Wife.
His other roles included the sleazy businessman in the first Die Hard movie, the killer in the cult fave Apartment Zero and the lead in the 1988 miniseries War and Remembrance.
But there are huge gaps in the handsome actor’s on-screen résumé.
“I stopped acting for a long time because I started directing in the early ’90s, which is what I always wanted to do,” he explained when we chatted in 2008. “Then I realized I missed acting and that I was still capable enough to exploit it.”
Hart’s efforts behind the camera include the comedies PCU, starring Jeremy Piven, and High School High, and he wrote, directed and produced the 2007 romantic comedy Just Add Water.
More recent roles include a part in the Warren Beatty film Rules Don’t Apply and guest spots on Scandal, Royal Pains, Criminal Minds, and Grey’s Anatomy.
