Morning Man Classic: Christopher Plummer!

Every time I attend the annual The Sound of Music sing-along at Hollywood Bowl, I’m struck by how damned handsome Christopher Plummer is. Just breathtaking as Captain Georg Johannes von Trapp. I’d have left the convent for him in five seconds flat!

The actor, who died earlier this year, would have been 92 today.

He won the Oscar at age 82 for his performance as a gay man in Beginners. He starred in 2019 in the box office hit Knives Out and two years earlier was nominated for an Oscar at age 88 for his portrayal of J. Paul Getty in All the Money in the World. During his stellar career, Plummer also won two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a SAG Award, and a BAFTA Award.
