Morning Man Classic: Chadwick Boseman!
The late, great Chadwick Boseman’s was born 47 years ago today.
He will always be with us through his movies including Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Captain America: Civil War, Get on Up, Da 5 Bloods, Marshall, Message From the King, Draft Day, and 42 as well as his Oscar-nominated performance in August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Before he began landing big film roles, Boseman appeared as a regular or recurring character in the TV series Lincoln Heights and Persons Unknown.
Boseman died in August 2020 at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side. He was diagnosed with colon cancer four years earlier but had never spoken publicly about his diagnosis during the most successful and critically-acclaimed stretch of his career. He won a SAG Award, a Peoiple’s Choice Award, an NCAAP Image Award, a Black Reel Award, a BET Award, and two MTV Movie Awards.
We will never forget this fine actor and much-admired man.
