Morning Man Classic: Bruce Boxleitner!
The first time I saw Bruce Boxleitner, I was sitting in the living room of Zura Hall at San Diego State University all excited to see Kate Jackson in her first TV series since leaving Charlie’s Angels.
I came to watch Kate but could not take my eyes off of the handsome Bruce who had previously starred in the series How the West Was Won and Bring ‘Em Back Alive.
The show, The Scarecow and Mrs. King, ran for four seasons and Bruce went on to have another hit series with Babylon 5 as Captain John J. Sheridan as well as several Babylon 5 TV movies.
Bruce is also known for his dual role as the characters Alan Bradley and Tron in the 1982 film Tron, a role which he reprised in the 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy and the animated series Tron: Uprising which takes place between the two films.
Bruce, who turns 74 today, had a recurring role in the TV series Cedar Cove for three seasons and appears in 10 episodes of Supergirl as the US President. More recently, he’s done guest spots on Space Command, The Orville, Matchmaker Mysteries, and the Gourmet Detective.
