Morning Man Classic: Bjorn Borg!

Since today is his 66th birthday, it’s as good a time as any to again feature Bjorn Borg, the gorgeous guy who played in six of those finals in his career and won five of them – including an all-time classic in 1980 against John McEnroe.

Borg has become quite the Swedish silver fox!

The tennis legend, once ranked number one in the world over archrivals McEnroe and Jimmy Connors, burst onto the scene in 1973 when he made the quarterfinals of Wimbledon and became a major teen idol.

He went on to win a record five consecutive Wimbledon singles titles (an all-time record he holds with Roger Federer and six overall French Open singles titles. Borg is considered to be one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

He is the only player in the open era to win both Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year more than twice, winning both for three consecutive years.

Bjorn broke a lot of hearts when he walked away from the game in 1981. He was just 25. But he’s stayed busy playing seniors events and with various business interests including a line of men’s underwear several years back. It featured an ad campaign for his new underwear line “Love For All” with an amazing new ad featuring two male priests getting married.
