Monday Morning Man: Wilson Cruz!
Hard to believe that it was 26 years ago that Wilson Cruz was cast as Rickie Vasquez on My So-Called Life.
The show only lasted one season but it’s a cult classic and it launched Wilson who turned 47 on Sunday.
Now one of the stars of Star Trek: Discovery, Wilson’s career career has stood the test of time. Along the way he played the recurring character of Junito on Noah’s Arc and Victor in the final season of Party of Five, was a regular on the TV series Red Band Society and 13 Reasons Why. He also had roles in the films Nixon, johns, Party Monster, Bam Bam and Celeste, Joyride, He’s Just Not That Into You, The People I’ve Slept With, and American Boys, among others
On stage, Wilson starred as Angel in the Broadway and national touring company of RENT.
He also has done and continues to do so much for the LGBTQ community through his activism and his art.
