Monday Morning Man: Leonardo DiCaprio!

Yeah, it’s no longer morning but I think Leonardo DiCaprio is worth waiting for.

After all, if he could wait all these years to win his first Academy Award then you all can wait a bit for his MM post!

It was so marvelous to see him win best actor last night for his performance in The Revenant and his speech was so organized – he was ready for his moment. He thanked all those involved in the film and his loved ones then made a plea for awareness about global warming.

Leo won on his sixth nomination and I just find his body of work so astounding. From earlier films like What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Basketball Diaries and Total Eclipse to, of course, The Titanic, then there’s been to Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, The Gangs of New York, Blood Diamond, The Departed, J Edgar, Revolutionary Road, The great Gatsby, The Wolf of Wall Street and Inception, among others.

He no doubt has many more great films in him and will continue to make a difference in the world.
