Minnelli fans rejoice: “Liza’s At the Palace” to be filmed at MGM Grand in Las Vegas this fall!

This is such great news for Liza Minnelli fans, like me, who didn’t get the chance to see the great star’s Tony-winning show Liza’s At the Palace during its triumphant Broadway run: the show is expected to be filmed in its entirety at the MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theatre in Las Vegas this September, according to BroadwayWorld.com.

The show not only features such Minnelli classics as Cabaret and New York, New York, but she also pays tribute to her famous godmother, Kay Thompson whose Eloise at the Plaza books are said to be based on Liza as a child when she lived there with her mother, Judy Garland.

The show’s original cast recording was released in February.
