Mike Manning earns Daytime Emmy nomination for role as Bradley “Smitty” Smith in “Beyond the Gates”

Congratulations to Mike Manning who earlier today was Emmy nominated for outstanding supporting performance in a Daytime Drama. He portrays investigative reporter Bradley “Smitty” Smith on CBS’s Beyond the Gates. Smitty is married to Congressman Martin Richardson and they are the parents of teenagers Tyrell and Samantha.

If Mike’s name is called as winner, it will not be his first Emmy. He won for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Fiction Program for The Bay in 2021 and a year earlier, won as one of the producers of The Bay when it took the Emmy for Outstanding Digital Drama series.

Mike initially gained fame as a cast member on the MTV series The Real World: DC in 2009 and has gone on to accomplish so much more. He was an executive producer of the documentary Kidnapped for Christ which details the experiences of several teenagers who were removed from their homes and sent to a behavior modification and ex-gay School in Dominican Republic. The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2014.

Mike was a cast member on the drama series Youthful Daze, recurred on the NBC series This is Us, the daytime drama Days of Our Lives, and starred in the TV movie Cloud 9, among many other screen credits.
