Michael Jackson: His life in “People” covers
Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett both died Thursday, too late to make the cover of People magazine’s next week issue which was already on some newsstands today.
The annoying and completely overexposed reality “stars” with all the kids, Kate and John, are on the cover.
Surely Farrah would have been the cover story the next week but when Jackson died a mere three hours later, my guess is they’ll probably have a shared cover of some sort.
Anyway, I was looking through People’s archives of covers and Jackson appeared on 16 of them. They started out real positive in the early 80s when he was the biggest star in the world with Thriller, winning Grammys and selling more records than God.
But by the late 80s, things are already taking a bad turn and it just gets worse and worse and worse. Here is a LINK to all the People covers he appeared on through the years.
