Michael C. Hall battling a treatable cancer
Michael C. Hall, the gifted actor who has starred in the back-to-back dramas Dexter and Six Feet Under, has a cancer of the lymphatic system.
He is currently undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma and the disease is in remission.
“I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care,” he said in a statement.
Hall is expected to continue on with his career and plans to attend Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards and the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards. He will compete in the best actor in a drama series category at both events.
Hall played gay man David Fisher on HBO’s Six Feet Under for five seasons then moved over to Showtime to portray Dexter Morgan, a serial killer working as a blood-spatter expert on Dexter. The show is expected to return to production later this year.
Best wishes to Michael!
