Max Parker comes out publicly as gay man: “It’s just a really good, happy thing to just be yourself”

Congratulations to Emmerdale star Max Parker who in an interview with Attitude has come out publicly as a gay man.

It’s such a brave step for anyone – especially when you are in the public eye and on a popular TV show.

He is involved with former Emmerdale co-star Kris Mochrie and there have been reports for months that they are a couple.

But Parker had not addressed his sexuality publicly and in this new interview, he opens up about his journey to self-acceptance.

He says: “In society, everyone’s like ‘don’t label yourself’ but there’s some comfort in [thinking] ‘What am I? Oh, I’m gay’.”
