Matthew Rettenmund and Kickstarter effort for “Encyclopedia Madonnica” 20th Anniversary Edition!

Then you will certainly want to support Matthew Rettenmund’s vision for a 20th anniversary update of his book Encyclopedia Madonnica.

Matthew, who writes the clever Boy Culture blog, is a friend of mine and is doing a Kickstarter campaign to fund his latest book project – a much-needed update of his successful book about Madonna.

As of now, Matthew has managed to raise more than $26,000 which is more than his $22,000 goal. But his campaign has eight more days to go and he hopes to raise even more to help ensure the book is color and has more pages and to cover any unforeseen expenses.

“When I wrote the first Encyclopedia Madonnica, I was just a fanboy writing in my room,” Matthew says. “This time around, I have more credibility, so I believe I will be able to secure original interviews with many of the players in the Madonna story. … I plan to create a sequel that will not only live up to the high expectations created by the first book, but will surpass it in scope, humor, imagery and design.”

He plans to have the book out by April 2015.
