Matt Bomer’s next role revealed: He will star in “American Horror Story: Hotel”

This is fabulous news.

It was announced at PaleyFest tonight that Matt Bomer will star opposite Lady Gaga in the new season of the FX anthology series American Horror Story.

The fifth season will be titled American Horror Story: Hotel.

While Gaga’s participation had already been confirmed, Bomer’s involvement was announced on Sunday night at the end of the American Horror Story panel at PaleyFest at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Bomer tweeted tonight: ‘So excited to join the incredible cast of @AHSFX– ready to tell some stories with @ladygaga. See you at the front desk!’

Bomer’s character has not been revealed. He did a guest spot on last season’s American Horror Story: Freak Show.

The actor was nominated for an Emmy and won the Golden Globe for his performance in the HBO film The Normal Heart. Last year, Bomer wrapped a six season run in the USA series White Collar.

He is also due to play screen legend Montgomery Clift in an HBO film and stars this summer in the sequel to Magic Mike.

It was also confirmed that Cheyenne Jackson will be a part of the season five ensemble.

Also at PaleyFest, Jessica Lange revealed that she would not be returning for the show’s fifth season. Lange, a two-time Oscar winner and multiple Emmy winner, played different characters in each of the first four seasons.
