Matt Bomer recalls almost getting hit by a car while filming “White Collar” in the streets of New York City
Was flipping through the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest and was pleasantly surprised to see an interview with White Collar star Matt Bomer.
No, White Collar is not a soap opera but Bomer was once a cast member of Guiding Light.
He talks about his days on the soap and also about shooting White Collar in the streets of Manhattan and some of the mishaps that have occurred while doing so. Including this one:
Recalls Bomer: “I did have one strange experience where someone almost hit me with their car when I was crossing the street. It was one of those things where they were turning, saw me and started driving towards me. They weren’t really self-possessed at the time. To add insult to injury, when I got over to the side of the road – I ran off the road, obviously – they rolled down their window and looked at me. Then they went, ‘Oh sorry, I thought you were Neal Caffrey’ and then drove off. I was like, ‘I am Neal Caffreuy. Kind of. Don’t kill me [laughs]!'”
